1. Account Management

How do I create an account on LegacyPass?

Creating an account is easy. Download the app, select "Register," and follow the prompts to enter your details. You can also sign up using Google or Apple ID for added convenience.

What should I do if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, tap "Forgot Password?" on the login screen, and you’ll receive a password reset link via email. Follow the prompts to create a new password.

Can I change the email address associated with my account?

Yes, you can update your email in Settings > Account & Login > Change Email Address. You’ll need to verify the new email to complete the change.

How do I delete my LegacyPass account?

To delete your account, go to Settings > Account & Login > Delete My Account. Note: This action is irreversible, and all your stored data will be permanently deleted.

Can I access my account on multiple devices?

Yes, you can log in to your account on multiple devices. Simply use your login credentials on any supported device.


2. Security & Privacy

How does LegacyPass protect my data?

LegacyPass uses advanced encryption, blockchain technology, and options for cloud storage (Google, iCloud, or LegacyPass storage) to keep your data secure. Your files are encrypted both in transit and at rest, ensuring maximum security.

Who can access my stored files and information?

Only you and the individuals you designate can access your stored files. LegacyPass cannot access your user content, keeping your information private.

What should I do if I suspect unauthorized access to my account?

If you notice any suspicious activity, change your password immediately and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in Settings > Security. You can also reach out to our support team for additional help.

What types of files can I store in LegacyPass?

LegacyPass supports a variety of files, including text documents (PDF, Word), multimedia (photos, videos), legal and financial documents, and more.

How does LegacyPass handle my personal information?

LegacyPass collects only the necessary information for account setup and functionality. We do not share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. Your data is stored securely and adheres to GDPR and other privacy laws.


3. Billing & Subscription

What subscription plans are available?

How do I upgrade or downgrade my subscription plan?

You can adjust your subscription at any time on app in Settings > Manage My Subscription or by visiting our website and navigating to the “Manage My Subscription” section. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades are applied at the end of your billing cycle.

What payment methods are accepted?

Currently, plans can be purchased only through our website, which offers various payment options. In-app payments will be available soon.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, go to Settings > Manage My Subscription. Alternatively, to cancel your subscription, log in to your account on our website, go to the Manage My Subscription section, and follow the prompts to cancel. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Will I receive a refund if I cancel my subscription?

Generally, refunds are not provided for canceled subscriptions, but exceptions may apply in special circumstances as outlined in our Terms & Conditions.


4. Using the App

How do I upload files to LegacyPass?

There are multiple ways to upload files:

  • Vault: Access Vault from the bottom navigation. Tap the “+” icon to add files from your device or cloud storage.

  • Feature-Specific Uploads: While using features like Last Will & Testament, Social Media Will, Power of Attorney, or My Story, follow the prompts to upload files directly.

How do I share my files with others?

To share a file, select it, tap Share, and choose a contact. You can set permissions to control access levels.

Can I organize my files into folders?

Yes, LegacyPass allows you to organize files in folders within Vault. Tap Create Folder, name it, and add files as needed.

How do I set up a beneficiary or trusted contact?

You can set up trusted contacts through several methods:

  • Settings > Legacy Access: Assign beneficiaries here to ensure they receive access when needed.

  • Dashboard > Legacy Access: Use the Contacts section to assign access to key files.

  • Feature-Specific Access: In screens like Last Will or Vault, use the Lock icon to assign access.

What happens to my account and files after I pass away?

LegacyPass allows you to specify who gains access after your passing. Set conditions for each trusted contact in Legacy Access to control access timing and permissions.


5. Technical Support

The app isn’t working correctly. What should I do?

First, try restarting the app or your device. Check for updates in the app store. If issues persist, contact support via Settings > Support & Feedback.

How do I report a bug or issue?

Go to Settings > Support & Feedback > Report a problem or bug and describe the issue. Our team will address it as soon as possible.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Ensure notifications are enabled in both your device settings and the LegacyPass app under Settings > Notifications. If issues continue, try logging out and back in, or reinstalling the app.

Is there a web version of LegacyPass available?

Our website provides detailed information about the app. A full-featured web access version is coming soon.

How do I contact customer support?

How is my data protected under GDPR?

LegacyPass complies with GDPR, giving EU residents rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of their data.

What is LegacyPass’s policy on NSFW content?

LegacyPass prohibits NSFW content, including but not limited to explicit, violent, or inappropriate materials. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Can I use LegacyPass for commercial purposes?

LegacyPass is designed for personal use. For commercial purposes, prior written consent from ITRUSTLEGACY LTD is required.


7. Features: Wills and Testaments

What is a Last Will and Testament?

A Last Will and Testament is a legal document that details your wishes for asset distribution and dependent care after your death, ensuring your estate is handled as you intend.

Why do I need a will?

Having a will ensures that your assets are distributed as per your wishes, avoids family disputes, and helps provide for dependents. Without one, the estate is distributed based on intestacy laws.

Who can make a will?

Generally, any individual over 18 who is of sound mind can create a will, though requirements vary by region.

What should I include in my will?

Include:

  • Appointment of an executor

  • Asset distribution instructions

  • Dependent care provisions

  • Bequests or charitable donations

  • Funeral instructions (optional)


8. Features: Funeral Planning

What can I include in Funeral Planning?

You can specify your preferences for the service, music, readings, attendees, and other details, ensuring the ceremony reflects your wishes.

How do I create my funeral playlist?

LegacyPass lets you create a playlist by linking existing playlists (Spotify, YouTube) or adding individual songs. You can update this playlist at any time.

Who will have access to my funeral plan?

You can assign trusted contacts to access your funeral plan, providing peace of mind that your wishes will be followed.


9. Features: My Story

What is the “My Story” feature?

"My Story" lets you capture life moments, wisdom, and reflections in various formats like videos, photos, and audio. You can organize these into categories for easier access.

How do I record or upload My Story entries?

You can record or upload media directly in the My Story section, choosing video, audio, or photos to share significant memories.

Can I set a release date for My Story entries?

Yes, LegacyPass allows you to set a specific date for releasing stories. This is useful for legacy messages or special occasions.


10. Features: Social Media Will

What is a Social Media Will?

This feature allows you to designate someone to manage your social media accounts after you pass. Options include memorializing, deleting, or transferring accounts.

How do I set up a Social Media Will?

Go to Social Media Will in the Dashboard, add your accounts, and specify preferences for each platform.

Can I choose different actions for each social media account?

Yes, you can set individual preferences for each account, such as deleting one while memorializing another.


11. Features: Keeper and Vault

What is Keeper?

Keeper is a secure digital vault for managing passwords, personal documents, and sensitive data. Organized into categories, Keeper is ideal for securely storing essential information.

What is Vault?

Vault is your general-purpose storage space for a wide range of files, from photos and videos to legal documents. Vault files can be organized into folders for easy access.

Can I make Vault files available offline?

Yes, files in Vault can be made available offline, ensuring access even without internet connectivity.


12. Features: Advance Care Plan

What is an Advance Care Plan?

An Advance Care Plan (ACP) details your medical care preferences in the event that you’re unable to communicate them. This can include CPR preferences, preferred treatments, and specific instructions for care.

How do I set up my Advance Care Plan?

Go to Advance Care Plan in the app, and complete sections for personal preferences, medical decisions, and end-of-life care. You can also upload related documents directly in this section.

Can I designate someone to make medical decisions for me?

Yes, you can assign a Medical Decision Maker who will ensure your wishes are honored.


13. Features: Power of Attorney

What is Power of Attorney in LegacyPass?

Power of Attorney allows you to designate someone to handle your legal and financial matters if you are unable to do so.

How do I upload my Power of Attorney documents?

You can upload Power of Attorney documents directly in the Power of Attorney section of the app.

Can I assign different individuals for different responsibilities?

No, the Power of Attorney feature currently only allows you to assign a Power of Attorney Executor(s). No other roles can be assigned within this feature.


14. Features: Pulse

What is the Pulse feature?

Pulse is a life check-in system that ensures your LegacyPass account remains active. If no activity is detected, Pulse will use multiple methods to confirm your well-being and carry out your preferences.

How does Pulse notify my contacts?

Pulse uses email, SMS, or LegacyPass app alerts (if the contact has an account) to notify your designated contacts if needed, ensuring your preferences are carried out.

What are the methods for confirming activity?

Pulse checks for user activity in the following order:

  1. Login

    • The first check occurs whenever you perform any activity in the LegacyPass app.

  2. Email

    • If no app activity is detected, Pulse will send an email after 48 hours.

    • You will have 48 hours to confirm everything is okay.

    • If no response is received, Pulse sends a reminder email after 24 hours.

  3. Social Media (if enabled)

    • After 72 hours of no app activity or email confirmation, Pulse will check your linked social media accounts for activity.

    • A second social media check will occur 24 hours later if no response is found.

  4. Phone (SMS)

    • If no app activity, email, or social media confirmation is detected, Pulse sends an SMS notification.

    • You have 48 hours to respond.

    • During this period, Pulse will send two additional SMS reminders (one per day).

How does Pulse escalate if I do not confirm my activity?

If all attempts to confirm your activity (via app, email, social media, and SMS) fail, LegacyPass will begin contacting your designated contacts. This escalation will occur 72 hours after the first SMS attempt, following your pre-set preferences.

Can I adjust the frequency of Pulse check-ins?

Yes, you can customize the check-in intervals:

  • Use the sliding adjuster on the Pulse screen to select your preferred interval.

  • Available intervals are 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, and 28 days.

  • You can also adjust the frequency in the Notifications section of the Settings menu.


15. Features: Bucket List

What is the Bucket List feature?

Bucket List allows you to document and organize goals, dreams, and experiences you wish to achieve in your lifetime.

How do I add items to my Bucket List?

Simply go to the Bucket List section, tap Add Item, and fill in the details.

Can I share my Bucket List items with others?

Yes, you can share specific items or the entire list with trusted contacts or on social media.

LegacyPass offers both free and paid plans. Paid plans offer additional features like expanded storage, advanced security, and options like Video Legacy and shared access for family members. Full details are available on the Explore Plans page on app or on our website .
